Miriam Garvi is co-founder of the Vision Pioneers network. She is a consultant and lecturer who specializes in bringing visions to life. As a researcher she is affiliated with the Center for Family Enterprise and Ownership (CeFEO) at the Jönköping International Business School.
Miriam’s research draws on the complexity of human nature by studying founding visions for unfolding initiatives in terms of purpose, intended beneficiaries, and psychic income. Her Ph.D. on venture capital was published in June 2007. It is written as a theater play and is entitled ‘Venture capital for the future - Implications of founding visions in the venture capital setting’.
Miriam’s current book project is about Olav Kr. Strømme, a Norwegian pioneer in the development aid setting. Through its rich collection of micro stories of individuals and families in need who were helped during and after WWII, this biography provides a source of inspiration for people today.
